Einstein Bird I haven’t been to a Zoo in years so I don’t have a lot to compare the San Diego Zoo too.  It was love at first sight.  Over three thousand animals, most in open cages, tons of bird aviaries…it’s a photographers dream (sort of, my dream would be able to get close enough to use a 50mm fixed right in the pandas face but I don’t see that happening anytime soon).  We spent an entire day here and so from 12 in the afternoon to 6 when it closed my camera was glued to my face (covering up the excited squeals of glee as the pandas ate bamboo and the little dik dik’s chewed on trees).  I have way too many pictures from this adventure, in fact 300 of the 1200 that I took in San Diego are of the zoo, but with animals like this can you blame me!?
